Diamond Dotted Paper is made by coating a diamond-shaped electrically insulating resin on one or both sides of a polyester film, and then baking it into a diamond film in a semi-cured state.
Expoy Dotted Paper is used for interlayer insulation and tantalum insulation of oil-immersed power transformers. In use, the coating begins to melt at a certain temperature during the coil drying process, producing an adhesion effect. As the temperature rises, it begins to solidify, allowing the adjacent layers of the winding to be reliably bonded into one fixed unit. The adhesive strength of the epoxy resin is sufficient to prevent the displacement of the winding layers during short-circuiting, thus ensuring the long-term mechanical and electrical properties of the insulation structure.
Since the resin coating of the insulating resin on the lozenge is in the shape of a dot, the impregnation of the oil and the discharge of gas in the insulating material are ensured, and corona and partial discharge are effectively avoided, thereby ensuring the safety and reliability of the insulating structure.
